After months of obsessively scouring Craigslist
I have finally found a home. I feel I walk away with a renewed sense of faith in humanity and in myself: hardly any of the people I met were crazy, all of them seemed to find me a moderately desirable housemate, and at the end of the day we’re all just human beings trying to get by.
A girl I used to sing with in high school just got on to American Idol. She went to Harvard, applied to (on a whim!) and landed an internship at the White House (which she will now be leaving to go to Hollywood to chill with Jenny from the Block?), and Steve Tyler just complimented her. She sang “Dock of the Bay,” lyrics of which include:

I had a dream I went to visit my friend in The Gambia. We ended up stuck on an island where everyone just lived in hammocks, because of something having to do with a variable water level. There were a lot of very oddly-shaped birds, and I was angry I had forgotten my camera.

Speaking of babies, last night I was knitting booties for a friend’s future child and realized I was doing so while drinking beer alone and watching the latest season of Jersey Shore (atta girl, Deena) and was therefore already being a bad role model and said, out loud, “Sorry, Baby!”
The booties are tots adorbs though. All small, woolen things are.
